Why Study Abroad?
Globalization has changed the way the world works. In the past decade alone it has become critical to have a multi-cultural mindset and multi-faceted set of technical skills for competence and adaptability.
Many employers feel that “graduates are leaving school unequipped with the skills necessary to function successfully in the workplace.” There has been an increase in gaps in technical skills and soft skills. The opportunity to study abroad enables students to develop a set of independence, communications skills, problem-solving skills and teamwork to achieve their goals.
Studying abroad is a life-changing experience for many students, opening their eyes to different ways of life and promoting understanding and tolerance. From elementary through post-graduate education, global engagement and exposure can profoundly change a student’s life.
