University Campus
Founded in Milan in 1921 by Father Agostino Gemelli, Università Cattolica, notwithstanding an increasing international openness, is the only Italian university that can boast a national dimension with its five campuses: Milan, Brescia, Cremona, Piacenza and Rome. The Fondazione Policlinico Universitario A. Gemelli IRCCS is also present in Rome.
Milan
The cloisters of Largo Gemelli with the annexed early twentieth-century façade designed by architect Giovanni Muzio are the beating heart of the University’s historic campus. Seven other structures complete the campus, including the first historical site of Sant’Agnese. The Campus of Milan will be able to count on an additional 1,200 student places by 2021
Brescia
The Brescia campus is housed in the historic Palazzo MartinengoCesarescodell’Aquilone. The historic building in via Trieste 17 will be accompanied by a new campus, inside the former Episcopal Seminary in Mompiano where the rooms are being renovated. A small but laborious “global village of science” open to the international scientific community.
Rome
Thanks to the prestigious partnership with the Fondazione Policlinico Universitario Agostino Gemelli IRCCS, the synergy betweenteaching, research and health care constitutes a unique training laboratory where to test the knowledge and skills acquired in the classroom through clinical activity and organisation and management complexity.
Piacenza
The Piacenza campus, in perfect Anglo-Saxon style, is located in the centre of the Po Valley and in the heart of the Italian agri-food system in an area characterised by cultural and productive liveliness. It offers large green spaces, areas for leisure and socializing and rationally designed environments, functional for the most advanced research and the most effective teaching.
Cremona
In Cremona,Università Cattolica has recently moved and is now housed in the new campusin the former Monastery of Santa Monica, in Via Bissolati. The centre is composed not only of classrooms and laboratories, but also of all the services necessary to students during their stay on campus
Why choose Cattolica
Because, here, everyone can feel free to express their potential.
Because, here, every path is an individual one, as is the perception of each person.
Because, here everyone is given the chance to try their best.
Because, here, every person counts and is part of a community to be nurtured with care.
Because our history is made by our past but, above all, by today’s commitment to shaping a new tomorrow.
